TROPIQUE CAFE & RESTAURANT

Set to blaze the trail for a new kind of French-inspired wine-and-dine experience, Tropique is located at Spring Lab, a temporary lifestyle and health experience park in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The client requested a low-budget, easily installed, and flexible design. Serjenq Studio responded with a cost-effective architectural form made entirely of fiber cement boards, tailored to the two-storey steel structure.

The dominant silhouette plays with carefully proportioned arches and walls, accented by tropical greenery and touches of gold. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in a Côte d’Azur vibe, while sensing the warmth and breeze of Southeast Asia.
