In The Labyrinth of London, furniture designer Ellen Hu guides us through a series of places that have accompanied her creative life in the city. From the architectural archives of the AA School to the fleeting spectacle of Oxford Street, from gallery spaces to hidden passages around St Giles, each location becomes a fragment of a larger emotional map.

The film unfolds as a walk rather than a narrative, allowing the city to reveal itself through movement and observation. Streets become corridors of memory. Buildings become repositories of influence. Everyday journeys become acts of discovery.

Shot entirely on a Ricoh GR IIIx, the film embraces a lightweight and intimate visual approach, moving through the city with the spontaneity of a sketchbook. ​Neither travelogue nor conventional portrait, The Labyrinth of London explores the relationship between a creative individual and the urban landscape that surrounds her. It is a meditation on how cities shape the way we think, create, and imagine—an invitation to get lost, and in doing so, to see more clearly.
